The required conditions:
Electrolytic polishing of stainless steel is not too strict on the power waveform, and thyristor or high frequency can be used.
No-load voltage: 0-20V,if the working voltage is lower than 6v, the polishing speed will be slow and the brightness will be insufficient.
Electrolytic cell and supporting facilities (anode rod):It can be welded by PVC hard plate. Install three electrode rods on the tank, the middle is a movable anode rod, which is connected to the anode (or positive pole) of the power supply, and the two sides are cathode rods, which are connected to the cathode (negative pole) of the power supply.
Heating And Cooling Equipment:①Heating can choose quartz heating tube, titanium heating tube.②Coil can be used for cooling, which can be heated or cooled.
Jig:It is best to use titanium as the jig, because titanium is more corrosion-resistant and has a long service life, and titanium ions have no effect on the bath. It is recommended not to use copper jig, because the entry of copper ions will deposit a copper layer with poor bonding force on the surface of stainless steel, which will affect the polishing quality. The exposed parts of copper can be baked with polyvinyl chloride glue to form a film, and the insulating film can be scraped off at the contact point.
Cathode and anode materials: copper rods or copper tubes should be used for the cathode and anode rods. The length of the copper pipe is the length of the electrolytic cell plus 20 cm. The cathode plate should be a lead plate, which is fixed on the cathode rod. The length of the lead plate is the height of the tank plus 10 cm. The width of the board is determined according to the length of the groove, generally 10 cm and 20 cm.
Electrolytic polishing of stainless steel is mainly aimed at brightening the surface of stainless steel workpieces. Stainless steel workpieces are divided into 200 series, 300 series, and 400 series materials, and each series of materials must use targeted electrolytic polishing liquid. For example, stainless steel of 200 series stainless steel must use the 200 series formula, which cannot be adapted to 300 series or 400 series stainless steel.
